The Elm Street Drainage System consists of a storm water drainage system, including appurtenant infrastructure, located in Nashville, Nash County, North Carolina which encompasses the Nash County parking lots and the Elm Street Right-of-Way from east of Alston Street to the terminus, and west of Drake Street, where the pipe empties into a ditch that ultimately drains to Stony Creek. Due to the age of the Elm Street Drainage System and semi-recent rainfalls (beginning with those from Hurricane Matthew), the Elm Street Drainage System is no longer adequately serving the citizens of the Town and Nash County and needs to be replaced.
