Not Accepted at Convenience Sites
Materials not accepted at convenience sites include:
- Agricultural Waste
- Industrial Waste
- Institutional Waste

- Liquid & Hazardous Waste
- Municipal Waste
- Radioactive Waste

Convenience Center Disposal Rules
Residents using the county solid waste convenience centers must comply with the following rules for disposal of household waste:
- Household garbage must be bagged
- Burning or smoldering materials may not be disposed of at these sites
- No tires may be accepted at any convenience center other than Stoney Hill, Site #1, Middlesex and the Nash County Landfill
- No bricks, large stumps, logs, concrete, shingles, animal carcasses, animal waste or auto parts are accepted at the convenience centers
- Plastic bottles, wooden pallets, and oil filters must be recycled, not disposed of in the trash
- If more than 10 wooden pallets are being recycled, they should be brought to the landfill
