The Staff Services Division is also responsible for ensuring that all employees are up-to-date on all in-service training, and that they continue to maintain a high level of knowledge and training. This ensures that the citizens of Nash County are represented by a professional and well trained Sheriff's Office.

Public Education


The Staff Services Division is responsible for the operation of educational and community programs, including Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and School Resource Officer programs. These programs allow Nash County Sheriff’s Office personnel to interact with youth in a positive role, and provide instruction in drug and violence prevention, peer mediation, respect and responsibility.

Professional Standards


This Division annually reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sheriff’s Office by reviewing crime reports and statistics, and analyzing patterns and trends of crime in Nash County. In addition, the Staff Services Division is also responsible for professional standards, crime prevention, grant writing/management, and preparation of the agency’s budget and training.

Staff


The Staff Services Division is supervised by Captain Brandon Jenkins. There are also five Deputies assigned to the middle and high schools in Nash County as School Resource Officers. The Division also has five records clerks who input records, reports, warrants, citations, and any other documents needed into the Sheriff's Office's Records Management System.
